The green coconut water is not usually sweet. It is a pleasantly neutral and refreshing drink with minerals and electrolytes. It helps sustain one beneficially on a fast. I find fasting to be easier when I have access to green coconut water. What you will get is all the benefits of water fasting but without the possible fluctuations in blood sugar. I am speaking from the viewpoint of someone who has fasted both on juices and (separately) green coconut water regularly. Perhaps for a first time faster, the experience could be different.
