Raw For a Week and a Half and Love It!

My husband and I have been eating raw for a week and a half. We love it! My husband has diabetes and his blood sugar is getting lower every day. He also had six {way} by-pass heart surgery in November. This diet is an answer to prayer. I have more energy than I've had in a long time and my food cravings have disappeared. My neighbor lent me your book, web site, and gave us lots of care packages!

There are some studies on mental health derangements caused by artificial food diets that were done by Dr. Weston Price and delineated in his book Nutrition and Physical Degeneration written back in the 30s and 40s, but still immensely significant for today.

At the present, I cannot suggest any studies that directly correlate raw food ingestion with improvement in mental illness, however, I am researching some doctors in Europe who may have case studies from their practices, but I don't have that information at this time.

One thing that you can almost be sure of – as the physical body improves – the mental body, which is intertwined and interconnected with it, will begin to improve also.

Very soon on my website I will have a book from a medical doctor in Germany who heals his patients with raw food diets – the title is Diabetes Causes and Cure by Dr. Johann Georg Schnitzer. It is awe inspiring to hear of the changes you have already experienced in only a week and a half of eating raw. Be aware of the body's detoxification processes however, and know that there will be times that you will not feel as well – this is when the body goes into deep levels of cleansing out the accumulated toxins. But once you are through that initial process you will both be on your way to recuperating your health through following Nature's Wisdom and Laws.
