I loved looking at your website and greatly appreciate your insight and intelligence. My wife and I have just recently become 100% raw. We tried to do a slower transition, but I was unable to eat cooked foods at any time without getting sick and throwing up. We would like to cleanse our bodies of all remnants of the SAD foods still left behind and have begun with a colon cleanse as per Dr. Bernard Jensen's book "Dr. Jensen's Guide To Better Bowel Care". From what we understand this will be the most important and the first cleanse to go through. We are still a little underinformed about what other cleanses are available, what books contain information about them, which are best, and what is required in each one. Will you please send us as much information, references, and personal experience that you can? Thank you for your time,

Dear T & J,
Thank you for the feedback on my website. I'm glad that it resonated with you.
Dr. Jensen's book is excellent. Other good books for the cleansing process are Cleanse and Purity Thyself Book 1 and Book 2 by Richard Anderson.
I am not a practitioner of any kind, so please accept the following only as an exchange of ideas and information.
Adherence to 100% Raw/living foods will, over time, cleanse your body of toxicity, but it is excellent that you would like to help the process along by doing specific cleanses, especially in the beginning. Other adjuncts to cleansing are occasional Colonics. Sometimes in the beginning you may want to take a series of them, but then later I would only do them occasionally. Some teachers say to do them more regularly, but I like to keep the body clean by utilizing diet and fasting instead. I do three colonics a year now, usually all within a week to ten days time. It is wise to also do a series of probiotics after the colonics to reestablish the beneficial intestinal flora.
The Sauna (dry sauna) is an excellent tool for cleansing, and can be done regularly. Once a week, or once every two weeks would be most effective.
Look into juice fasting… there are many excellent books on the subject and it is the bomb (slang for GOOD). I usually do a juice fast four times a year, at each change of the seasons. With winter coming on, the season for pomegranates is approaching. Pomegranates make an excellent juice for fasting. I don't know where you live, but in some states, like California, you can get fresh, raw pomegranate juice at the farmer's markets.
Look also into Ann Wigmore's Energy Soups – a form of fasting but it is called soup instead of juice because it is made in a blender and diluted with a fermented beverage called Rejuvelac.
Then there are specific cleanses for the liver and gall bladder. To find links to these, go to my website and look in the Articles section, subsection either Healing Modalities or Health Info.
Then there are herbal teas that help with cleansing various organs and tissues. Do a google search for Dr. Richard Schultz – he has various formulas and combinations available.
Hatha Yoga is a form of exercise that succeeds in assisting the body in many ways. Hatha Yoga postures and practices:
1) Cleanse and release toxicity from various organs
2) Tonify organs and glands
3) Oxygenate the blood
4) Quiet the mind
5) Relax the body completely
Cleansing the body of toxicity takes time and the body does it in its own good wisdom and pace. It is like peeling the layers of an onion, a layer comes off… then another… then another. The body may take some time between layers. It is resting. It knows how much can be released safely. Sometimes when there is too much toxicity, and the body is not capable of handling it through the regular channels of elimination, it will release it through the skin as a big outpouring of pus, or rashes, or boils, etc.
In the beginning, you will have good days and then not so good days, but eventually it will all be good and your natural heritage of health and vitality will be restored.
Wishing you an abundance of health,
With blessings and peace,
