Any quick ideas when you have the flu? I made garlic soup and it was so good!
I am not a practitioner of any kind, so please view the following only as an exchange of ideas and information.
The flu or any cold is a detoxification process taking place in the body. Colds and flu's happen spontaneously when there is too much toxic overload in the system and/or when the body becomes too acid. As such, they should be allowed to run their course. Nothing should be done to try to abort them, but there are many things that can be done to assist in the elimination. Wheatgrass juice first thing in the morning on an empty stomach would be excellent. A juice fast would be indicated at this time to assist the detoxifiction. Blended Energy Soups would be good too. Since your body seems to be asking you for garlic, put garlic into the Energy Soup.
Extra vitamin C could be taken. There is one brand that is truly natural Vitamin C, made only of dehydrated acerola berries and powdered.
Other assists could be taking some saunas and colonics.
One Energy Soup recipe
Put the following into a blender:
1 or 2 cucumbers, chopped
Swiss chard, kale, collards or spinach or a combination of these. The amount to put in is up to you.
(if using kale, collards and Swiss chard, cut the stem or rib out and save for juicing)
buckwheat and sunflower greens (if you can get them, use a handful of each)
chunk of butternut squash
1/4 to 1/2 avocado
1 or more cloves of garlic
1 tbsp. lemon or lime juice
1 tsp. mellow white miso (optional)
Rejuvelac or filtered water, only if needed to thin
